1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Studoo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including parents, guardians, and students.

2. Description of Service

Studoo is an online educational platform designed to help children prepare for the 11+ grammar school entrance examination. The Service provides:

  • Practice questions across multiple subjects
  • Progress tracking and analytics
  • Parent dashboard for monitoring learning
  • Gamified learning features

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Parents/guardians are responsible for their children's use of the Service and for ensuring children under 13 have appropriate consent.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4.2 Subscription Plans

Paid subscriptions are available on monthly or annual billing cycles. Prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

  • You retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • Your data will be retained for 30 days after account closure

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Contact support@studoo.co.uk for refund enquiries.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
  • Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers)
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6. Intellectual Property

All content on Studoo, including questions, explanations, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Studoo or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Results from using the Service will be accurate
  • Using the Service will guarantee exam success

Studoo is a supplementary educational tool and should not be the sole method of exam preparation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studoo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorised access to your data
  • Any interruption or cessation of the Service

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting on the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
